New Game Plus and Repeat Playthroughs

After clearing any of the five main endings, HILLS unlocks New Game Plus from the title menu. PantyParrot layers post-launch QoL patches on top — skip buttons, Memory Room tools, and faster stealth — so second runs focus on missed achievements rather than repeating every mandatory fight.

When NG+ Unlocks

Reach any main ending (ED.1 through ED.5) or the default story failure route, then select New Game from the title screen. You do not need the true ending first. The Memory Room also opens, letting you review ending crystals and unlock mirrors via the red crystal (v1.0.4+).

What Carries Over

Memory Room — Gallery, ending previews after ED.1 (v1.0.14), Achievement Monument hints.
Steam achievements — Permanent; re-sync via Heart Crystal if desynced (v1.0.8).
Training Dummy Lv.4 — Selectable immediately on new playthroughs if achievement already earned (v1.0.9).
Battle skips — Mandatory strong fights on good-ending route skippable with linked achievement (v1.0.11).
Misty stealth — Shortened after any of five endings cleared once (v1.0.11).

Story flags and inventory reset — you replay Gadola's nine-day calendar fresh. Cooking bonuses from a prior run no longer stick after v1.0.13 fixed the New Game+ residue bug.

Recommended NG+ Goals

First ending clear → use red crystal for full gallery, then plan a True Ending route.
Second run → hunt Missables with skip QoL enabled.
Third+ runs → alternate ED.2 (money under 50,000 G per v1.0.10 crystal note) and ED.5 branches.

Patch-Aware Routing

Before NG+ on an old save, update to Ver.1.0.15 and read Patch Notes. Mayor's Residence jobs, fast travel fixes, and Town Guide icons all changed mid-launch.
