All Endings — ED.1 Through ED.5

PantyParrot ships five main endings on Steam, tracked as ED.1 through ED.5 in the Memory Room crystals. Outcomes hinge on three early route flags (Reda, Cove, Misty), whether Hills exposes Gadola's conspiracy, her wallet at finale week, and a hidden kindness chain from Day 7 onward. This page lists every ending with unlock conditions — spoilers included in section headers.

Community gameplay — use alongside our walkthrough when planning a specific ED route.

How the Five Endings Rank

Community routing treats ED.1 Hills the Adventurer as the true ending: Hills uncovers the plot, keeps her companions, and leaves Gadola on her own terms with at least 50,000 G and the final boss defeated. ED.2 The Legendary Courtesan shares the same story flags but pays off as a courtesan route when money stays below that cap.

ED.3 Burning Gadola fires when Hills only completes Condition 1 — she meets Micoco but never finishes Cove or Misty chains, so the city burns without full exposure. ED.4 Human Ranch triggers if Condition 1 fails entirely (no Micoco by Day 9 night). ED.5 A Fleeting Life is the hidden bittersweet route: optional acts from Day 7 — returning Albert's pendant, saving Sara, trading with the mysterious merchant — must align while still missing other ED.1 requirements.

Conditions 1–3 (Route Foundation)

These three flags decide whether Hills can reach ED.1 or ED.2 at all. Missing one downgrades to ED.3; missing Condition 1 locks ED.4 on Day 9 night.

#RequirementDeadline
1Help Reda at the Port tavern before Night 2; meet Micoco through Reda at the Adventurer Guild before Night 6Day 2 / Day 6 night
2Meet Cove in the forest outside the city and help gather mushrooms before Night 6Day 6 night
3Meet Misty at the Port and complete two shifts at the Mayor's Residence before Day 6 daytime endsDay 6 daytime

Track deadlines on the Town Guide and the printable Requirements Checklist. v1.0.5 made the first two Mayor jobs not advance the time period — use that window if you are tight on Day 6.

ED.1 — Hills the Adventurer (True Ending)

Hills dismantles the trafficking network, survives the final battle, and walks out of Gadola as an adventurer with her companions. Mechanically this is the achievement players treat as the "true" clear.

  • Complete Conditions 1, 2, and 3 on schedule.
  • Follow main story through conspiracy exposure — Micoco's guild chain, Cove's forest arc, and Misty's Mayor jobs feed the finale evidence gate.
  • Enter finale week with at least 50,000 G (sell loot, casino chips auto-cash out since v1.0.12, Mayor jobs, ingredient trading).
  • Defeat the final boss in the closing dungeon chain.

After ED.1, v1.0.12 lets you pick Hills's future path before replaying the route; v1.0.14 adds Memory Room previews of ED.2–ED.5. See True Ending walkthrough for day-by-day routing.

ED.2 — The Legendary Courtesan

Identical story preparation to ED.1, but Hills ends as Gadola's legendary courtesan instead of a wandering adventurer. The split is purely economic at the finale check.

  • Complete Conditions 1–3 and expose the conspiracy.
  • Keep wallet under 50,000 G when the game evaluates the ending — spend down deliberately or avoid late-game gold spikes.
  • Do not assume "broke is better"; you still need enough gear to survive mandatory fights.

Patch note (Ver.1.0.10): the ED.2 crystal in the Memory Room now explicitly states money must stay below 50,000 G. Before that patch, players misread the courtesan route as a loyalty or Misty-only branch.

ED.3 — Burning Gadola

Hills saves herself and Micoco's immediate circle but never completes Cove's mushroom quest or Misty's Mayor arc. The conspiracy partially stalls; Gadola still burns in the epilogue.

  • Condition 1 complete — Reda tavern help and Micoco guild meeting.
  • Condition 2 and/or 3 incomplete by their deadlines.
  • Typical first-run outcome if you rushed the Port without visiting the forest or Mayor's Residence.

Still a full ending with gallery entry — not a Game Over. Use it as a stepping stone before a checklist run toward ED.1.

ED.4 — Human Ranch

The darkest standard ending: Hills never reaches Micoco through Reda, loses protection from the adventurer network, and the calendar stops on Night 9 with the Human Ranch epilogue.

  • Condition 1 failed — skip Reda at the Port tavern before Night 2, or fail to meet Micoco at the guild before Night 6.
  • No need to fail Conditions 2 or 3 separately; without Micoco the story collapses into this route automatically.
  • v1.0.5 added clearer crystal text; v1.0.6 fixed a black-screen bug on Day 9 night Joy Street bar work unrelated to the ending trigger but common on the same calendar day.

Hunt this on a dedicated save — see Bad Ending guide for safe failure routing.

ED.5 — A Fleeting Life (Hidden)

The hidden ending rewards compassionate side choices without full ED.1 prep. Memory Room crystals gained missing-condition hints in Ver.1.0.5.

From Day 7 onward, align these optional threads (all are required together — partial credit does not unlock ED.5):

  • Return Albert's pendant after the Slums encounter chain.
  • Rescue Sara from the slavers — v1.0.7 added extra escape dialogue if Albert was already met.
  • Complete trades and meetings with the mysterious merchant (Port night stalls / Old Coin economy expanded in v1.0.10).
  • Typically paired with not satisfying full ED.1 gates — ED.5 is its own epilogue, not a downgrade from ED.1.

ED.5 does not replace Conditions 1–3 knowledge; most players see it on a third run after ED.1 and ED.4. Cross-check flags in the Memory Room ED.5 crystal after v1.0.5.

Suggested Gallery Order

  1. First run — natural ED.3 or ED.2 without a guide.
  2. Second run — ED.1 via Conditions 1–3 checklist.
  3. Third run — ED.4 failure save (skip Reda) and ED.5 kindness chain.
  4. Cleanup — ED.2 by repeating ED.1 prep with intentional overspending before finale.

Steam achievement sync issues: use Heart Crystal in the Memory Room (v1.0.8+). Pair with Missables for event deadlines that share days with ending flags.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between ED.1 and ED.2?

Both require Conditions 1–3 and full conspiracy exposure. ED.1 needs at least 50,000 G and the final boss defeated; ED.2 triggers when money stays below 50,000 G at the finale check. v1.0.10 added this note on the ED.2 Memory Room crystal.

How do I avoid ED.4 on a serious run?

Help Reda at the Port tavern before Night 2, then meet Micoco through Reda at the Adventurer Guild before Night 6. Missing either step ends the story on Night 9 with Human Ranch.

Can I preview endings before unlocking them?

After clearing ED.1, Ver.1.0.14 lets you preview other endings in the Memory Room. Before that, use this page and the Requirements Checklist to plan without spoiling cutscenes.

Is ED.5 required for 100% Steam achievements?

Yes — ED.5 is a separate gallery slot and achievement. It needs the Day 7+ kindness chain (Albert pendant, Sara rescue, mysterious merchant), not full ED.1 prep.
