Missable Achievements

These achievements and gallery events can be permanently missed in a single calendar playthrough if you skip a day, fail a flag check, or enter the finale under-prepared. Deadlines below use in-game day numbers from Hills's arrival in Gadola.

Top Ten Missables (Priority Order)

  1. Event Witnessed VII — Micoco east gate sighting, Day 5 only. Missing it delays her chain and locks Event XIII.
  2. Day 9 timer extension quest — No achievement by itself, but missing it causes The Clock Runs Out instead of story progress.
  3. Event Witnessed XIV — Veil Passage ally, Day 10 evening. Required for true ending and blocks Event XV.
  4. Silencing Charm purchase — Day 4–5 night stall; without it, Noble events XI–XII fail silently.
  5. Event Witnessed II — Requires visiting night stall twice before Day 6.
  6. Rusted Badge — Slums Day 5; gates Ledger Fragment and Event III.
  7. Event Witnessed XX — True-ending epilogue only; no replay from chapter select until New Game+.
  8. Light in the Shadows — True ending; see Requirements Checklist.
  9. Gilded Cage bad ending — Mutually exclusive with high dock companion loyalty; needs branch save before Day 14 gala.
  10. Event Witnessed XIX — Loyalty pledge night Day 16; average loyalty must be ≥ 80%.

Missables by District

Market District

  • Events I, II, V, VI, VIII — all day-locked; VIII needs rain weather on Day 8 or 9.
  • Night stall charm — shop inventory rotates; buy before Day 6.

Slums

  • Events III, IV, IX — depth unlock Day 6+; IX requires choosing stealth over confrontation.
  • Arena rematch optional scene — Day 11 if you won Day 7 fight.

Noble Quarter

  • Events XI–XII, XVI–XVIII — require inner villa access and gala attendance.
  • Failed charm checks do not retry same day.

Hidden Locations

  • Events XIV–XV — Veil Passage two-visit sequence; Subterranean Key required for second.

Save Slot Strategy

Recommended slots from Save Points:

SlotWhenPurpose
ADay 1 morningFresh branch for bad endings
BDay 5 nightMicoco + rusted badge backup
CDay 10 eveningVeil Passage ally
DDay 14 pre-galaNoble events + betrayal branch
EDay 16 pre-finaleTrue ending vs last-minute fixes

Mutually Exclusive Pairs

Some content cannot coexist in one run:

  • Gilded Cage vs max dock loyalty — Choose betrayal dialogue or loyalty path at gala.
  • Merchant's Exit ending vs true ending — Early profit escape abandons conspiracy arc.
  • Event IX stealth vs loud rescue — Different scenes; only stealth path awards trophy.

For 100%, plan separate files per row.

Recovery After a Miss

If you realize a miss on Day 15+, reload the earliest save that still permits the flag—often Slot B or C. If the deadline passed entirely, finish the run for story closure and tag the missable for Run 3 in 100% Completion. The gallery shows silhouettes for unseen events to help audit gaps.

Recovery Playbook

When you discover a miss mid-run, follow this decision tree before abandoning the playthrough.

Same-day miss — Reload morning save if available; evening events can be retried same day after reload.

1–2 day miss — Check if a later event supersedes the flag; only Micoco VII and Veil XIV lack backups.

3+ day miss — Finish the run for story, note miss on calendar, start cleanup file from Save Points Slot B or C.

Ending-locked miss — Event XX and Light in the Shadows always need a dedicated true route—do not patch onto a good-ending close.

Document misses in a text file with day numbers—prevents repeating the same gap on Run 3.

Pre-Finale Audit Checklist

Before Day 15, open gallery Event tab and count silhouettes. Twenty filled slots means only finale cluster remains. Fewer than eighteen means revisit Map Hub districts for expired windows before the red countdown locks optional travel.

Community Pitfalls

Most common miss reports on launch week: forgetting rain for Event VIII, skipping Veil Passage evening for Noble tourism, and selling Ledger Fragment. Double-check inventory before any sell prompt and watch weather on Days 8–9 without exception.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Event Witnessed I missable?

Yes, but unlikely—you must skip the Market alley after recruiting the first companion on Day 2.

Can I chapter-select missed events?

Gallery replay unlocks after beating the game once, but some early events still need a new run if never witnessed.

What is the hardest missable?

Event XX and Light in the Shadows require the full true-ending matrix—not a single optional pickup.

Should I use a spreadsheet for missables?

Yes for 100% hunters. Columns: day, event ID, district, done checkbox. Link rows to save slot letters A–E from our save strategy section.

Can mods break missable tracking?

Unofficial mods may alter day windows. Wiki assumes retail Steam build June 2026 without mods.

How early should I start tracking missables?

Day 1 if aiming for 100%. Day 5 at latest for Micoco and badge windows. Casual players can start tracking at Day 8 before Noble gates open.

Can I miss achievements without missing endings?

Yes. Good ending runs often skip Events XIV–XVIII. Endings and events use overlapping but distinct flag sets.

Do missables differ by platform?

No. Windows Steam build uses identical day windows and flags.

Should I hunt missables before or after true ending?

During the same true route when possible—Events XIV–XX overlap true-ending flags. Only bad-ending missables need separate files.
